The Grass is not greener on the other side
This is not some deep philosophical point that I am trying to make or explain – the grass is not greener on the other side – wallah ma 3am itfalsaf !
This has been something bugging and bugging me since spring time started and I have been trying not to rant about it on my blog – you know, having a rant-free blog for a change. But well, this is bugging me too much now that i have to spit it out : THE GRASS IS NOT GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE !
Ok Ok… I already said that , the thing is since we did not have a decent winter in lebanon aka no snow and heavy rains the grass did not “die” and get “born” again in spring. That means when you go around in nature now, you see lot of dead grass around or if it is not dead grass, the green looks “tired” and not as green and as fresh as recently bloomed stuff.
and gosh ! that bugs me a lot !
Call me sicko or stupid or whatever you want, but there is that breath taking feeling you get in spring while walking up a nice green valley with water and flowers n butterflies n stuff – that feeling is totally lost now ! it depresses me ! those withered plants a333 !
Another example : i used to look at the side of the roads while in car and enjoy seeing the different flowers and veggie formations – now it is dull and boring and same as last year *sigh* – now i don’t look out of the window anymore !
And my biggest piss off was when were were going around and checking the rivers, and guess what ? yap, many of them were dry aka no photography in there , no green stuff, no camping aka a more pissed me ! oh and i noticed that some old rivers “zafatouwa” – it is very convenient, i laughed and cried at the idea !
At last – before the naggo-meter explodes, when showing my friends around places in my areas, i start ranting and saying blablabla it is not as nice beuheuheu , and they usually tell me to get over myself and stop nagging and that the places are still amazing. But still this is not fine with me cuz first i know the difference, how uglier the places are now and i can imagine how ugly it is going to become…. i will be making a before/after series of posts, i swear you will see the huge difference !
I want my spring to be green, i want waterfalls and rivers. I want my autumn to be brown and my falling leaves, I want my winter to be white and cold ! I love the mood each season brings… now, can you please be a good friend and go activate your greenpeace registration ! I will help you in person if you don’t know how !
seems the only way out for you is to get back in time….
Now if you are able to do this don’t forget to take the cam back with you.
I always think about how it be to be back to the ice age for 24 hours with a cam ;o)
